VALUES
I came to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior at the age of twelve at the First Baptist Church of Port Neches, Texas. Prior to my senior year in high school, I responded to God’s call to the Ministry. Since that time, I have been privileged to serve on church staffs as well as other leadership roles in various settings.
I strongly value:
>collaborative environment with the ability to contribute leadership expertise
>a clearly defined “win” in disciple-making
>individual spiritual health precedes church growth
>consistent objective assessment
>modeling servant-leadership
>that my ministry giftedness and skills work best in an environment that is biblically balanced and intentional in making disciples
>"The emphasis in discipleship must shift from information to transformation. Information downloading is easy. In contrast, transformational living doesn’t require huge amounts of information, but it does require the consistent practice of what you know."
>small group environments are the preferred tool for doing the “one another’s” of Scripture
>apprenticeship is essential for multiplication
>discernment is critical in our pluralistic world
>God gets the glory
